Today, Tuesday, April 23, 2024, the Scientific Activities Committee of the College on the occasion of World Environment Day and Earth Day organized a scientific seminar. Under the title “Earth and the Environment is the home of all of us, we must protect them.” outside the college for the residents of the village of Mwani Mulla Tayer and the surrounding villages.
At first, Mr. Raza Muhammad, the mayor of Saidsadq district, gave a speech.
Then the speech of the dean of the college was presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Salam Abdulkarim.
Then the speech of the head of the geography department of the college was presented by Dr. Aram Dawood Abbas.
Later, the welcome speech of the Village Council was presented by Mulla Ahmad Yar Ahmad.
Then Asst. Lect. Rekawt Mirways Hussein, the Director of the Seminar, began the topics.
The first topic was presented by Dr. Omed Hambaqi Hamaamin, a lecturer in the geography department, under the title “Water Resources and the Importance of Protecting Them from the Viewpoint of Science.”.
Then a subject was presented by Asst. Lect. Mehdi Hadi Ahmad under the title “Pollution of urban environments compared to rural environments and the importance of environmental protection.”.
Then, a topic was presented by Asst. Lect. Harem Mohammed Abdulkarim, entitled “Environmental Pollution and Impact on Human Psychology.”
It is worth mentioning that this activity was different from other activities, as it was organized for villagers and was presented in a village.
