On Thursday, March 7, 2024, in the intellectual hall of Saidsadq, with the presence of Vice President of University of Sulaimani Prof.Dr. Kawa Jamal Rashid, Dean of the college Asst. Prof. Dr. Salam Abdulkarim, lecturers, employees, students, and a large number of different classes of People of Saidsaq City, College of Humanities Education, with the help of the mayor of Saidsadq, held a scientific meeting on the 36th anniversary of the migration and destruction of the city, in which some scientific topics were presented in the panel that consisted of:
• The destruction of Saidsadq from the viewpoint of international criminal law by Dr. Awara Hussein Ahmed, Dean of College of Law and Administration of University of Halabja.
• Political awareness and the role of mass demonstrations in the 1980s by Dr. Farooq Mohammad Amin, Head of History Department of College of Humanities Education.
• A page from Saidsadq’s intellectual history before its destruction by Prof.Dr. Rebwar Saeed, a university lecturer and drawing artist.
• The genocide of Saidsadq and the decision of compensation from Iraq’s laws by counseling lawyer Goran Nasrullah Habib in Saidsadq’s lawyer’s room.
Afterwards, discussions about the meeting were held by the audience.
